What are the reasons for delayed processing time for my sciengan visa?

Question by sweet: What are the reasons for delayed processing time for my sciengan visa?

Hey Folks,

I have applied for sciengan visa with Belgium Embassy on 21 March 2013. I am an Indian and already have a USA and Uk tourista as well as study visas on my passport. My two friends got there visas within 2 working days and till now my passpor is with Belgium Embassy. My Iternanry has also expired by now. Any idea what would be the reason. Why my two friends with same iternary got visa with in 2 days and why I am left? Any suggestions what should I do?

Thank you.

Regards

Saloni

You don’t mention if your friends are also Indian. I guess they need more time to investigate your visa request. Maybe because of the history of visa’s, or because of your current situation,…

From the website of Belgian Diplomacy:

https://dofi.ibz.be/sites/dvzoe/EN/Application-guides/Pages/Short_stay_for_tourism_purposes.aspx#processing_of_the_visa_application

As a general rule, a decision will be taken by the consulate or the Aliens Office within 15 days from the date appearing on the stamp affixed to your travel document and indicating that your application is admissible. However, this deadline may be extended up to 30 days and even, exceptionally, 60 days, if a more detailed examination of your application and/or additional documents are required. In that case, your application will be sent to the Aliens Office, which will take the final decision.

But why don’t you just contact the embassy to ask?
