No comparison what so ever in the functionality. Windows XP is far superior. Microsoft in all its wisdom brought out Vista to replace Windows XP. When all they needed to do was upgrade XP and add it little more to it. Instead Microsoft completely made Vista a whole new package. I know because I tried it.
Microsoft went flat out when they realised they’d made a big mistake with the Vista and all the hype that went with it, and the promotional stuff etc. They immediately stopped future PCs having the Vista.
And worked day and night with the Windows 7 version.
I wasn’ the only one who didn’t like the Vista, hundreds if not thousands were dissatisfied with the new Vista. They still have it on some computers that are being sold. But Vista is being phased out.
You don’t have to think twice about going back to XP its blatantly obvious what to do.
I think that Microsoft didn’t test out the Vista enough and was very hasty in getting it on the market.
More of these computer firms are rushing to get out games and software, to catch the market, and be the first one there, so mistakes happen more regularly.

Tried to unclutter my screen and ended up with this. The silver setting in XP was a happy coincidence after adding the wallpaper. Top right is Google Desktop Search’s Floating Deskbar.
