Transferring Microsoft Office 2010 to a new laptop when uninstalling is impossible?

Question by Jambe: Transferring Microsoft Office 2010 to a new laptop when uninstalling is impossible?

We bought Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student for three PCs a couple of years ago and installed all three, but since then one computer completely died and recently my old laptop has become a brick.

I’ve been researching ways to transfer Microsoft Office and they all say to deactivate/uninstall and then install it again on the new laptop, but as the other two PCs are now complete bricks and it is impossible to get on them to uninstall it, is there ANY way I can transfer Microsoft Office? I need it for school work. Thanks.

Just install it on the new PC. You shouldn’t run into any problems. If you can’t get it to activate they should provide you with a number to call. Call them and explain the situation, they will allow you to add more PCs.
