Question by Louis: Is there a way to stop your Windows 7 background from changing to black?

I have a legit copy of windows 7 ultimate and about 20 minutes after setting a new theme it will revert to a black unsaved theme. I’ve looked on the internet and the only solution I’ve found, unticking the ‘delete background’ box in ease of access centre, hasn’t worked as it wasn’t ticked in the first place. Any help would be appreciated!

Two of my computers are having the problem, my laptop, which is fully updated, and my desktop which isn’t (due to previous bad experiences with windows updates). The strange thing is it only reverts back to the black unsaved theme if the theme I’ve chosen isn’t one of the default Aero theme packs.

A new, less bad, operating system perhaps, windows really is just awful..
