Question by FS2004PILOT: How to get rid of the yellow asterisk on wifi icon on Windows 7?

I am connected to the internet (via USB Wifi adapter) and everything works fine but the icon in the taskbar tray just shows the signal bars and then a yellow asterisk over them. Is there any way to get rid of the star and make the icon function properly again. It is really annoying.

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
