How do you open a file in Windows XP mode using Windows 7?


Question by Junior: How do you open a file in Windows XP mode using Windows 7?

I have windows 7 and got Virtual PC with Windows XP mode running but i dont know how to view my files that i have on windows 7?

This option is used only for executable(.exe) files.

This option cannot be used to view other stuffs like documents etc.

To open a .exe file in xp mode in windows 7,

1. right click on the exe file.

2. Click properties.

3. Click on compatibility tab

4. Click the check box “Run this pregame in compatibility mode for: ” the choose Windows xp from list
