Question by tomandrosiuk: How to find product key for a earlier installed operating system not one that is currently installed?
I am currently running the windows 7 Beta and need to find the product key for Windows Vista which was earlier installed does anybody know if or how i can find my Vista product key? If this cannot be done does anybody know how to contact Microsoft technical support via phone?

Vista did come pre-installed on the laptop and the authentic sticker has the OEM license code on but this will not work as they can only be used once and it has been used to preinstall the laptop.

Surely the Vista product key is printed on a label on the side of the computer if it came pre-installed? If the Vista installation files are stored on a hidden partition then you may be able to retrieve the key but you may have to reinstall Vista to get it because you need to access the registry.
