Question by Matthew: Why wont windows xp mode run my game that is supposed to work with windows xp?

I installed windows xp mode so i could run an old game called recoil that doesnt work with windows 7. I installed the game in xp mode fine but when I launch the game it says ‘failed to initialize video device’. I have seen the game run fine on my dads computer that has xp. What should i do?

right click on the game then go to properties then go to capability tab, slect windows xp service pack 3

then run it
