I bought the above Microsoft Office 2010 for my daughter, and did not realise that the license does not extend outside these areas. We intends to relocate to Hong Kong, and wonder if anyone knows of a solution?

Instead of using Microsoft Office, I would recommend that you use Open Office.


OpenOffice is a free open source software program that is intended to mimic Microsoft Office, but is available to use for FREE. You can use it on as many computers as you like, anywhere in the world, and it will always be free. It has programs for word processors like Microsoft Word, ones for spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel, and one for presentations like Microsoft PowerPoint. OpenOffice will do 99% of what Microsoft Office will do, so unless she uses advanced features it will be fine. Best part is, since it’s free, you can just download it and try it out.
