Question by bluesky1337: Opportunity for professional development in IT, but what?
I’ve been working as an IT officer for a company for 3 years and now I have an opportunity for professional development i.e. the company will pay for me to take a course to improve my knowledge, skills etc.
Can someone recommend any courses?
My job is basically to maintain the IT system and provide technical support. It’s only a small network
(even the “server” is just a Windows 7 computer with a shared folder) but it will need to be improved/extended as the buildings are developed.
About me: I have a BSc (hons) degree in Computer Science.

Are there any Trade Magazines for the IT Industry? I’m sure there must be; in which case, they will probably carry adverts for various courses.
