It’s Windows-only: http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector/requirements_en_US.html

You could run it on your Mac if you dual-booted into Windows as well as OS X (that will only work if you have an Intel Mac).

I don’t know anything about the quality of the software, but I have used Final Cut Studio: Apple’s professional-level video editing and production software. It’s amazing, but it’s truely a professional-level software suite and it’s $ 999 USD (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB642Z/A?fnode=NDQ4OTY4OA&mco=MTM3NDgxMTY). It’s used by studios and movie makers – it’s more than you would need for editing home movies and whatnot.
